Ana Goncalves received her veterinary degree in her native country of Brazil in 1998. She then moved to Colorado where she spent 3 years pursuing her Masters degree with a focus on Veterinary Echocardiography (heart sonogram) at Colorado State University.
After finishing her M.S. in 2000, she began doing research in Tissue Engineering until she met her husband and followed him to Knoxville in 2004. Since then, she has become a Reiki Practitioner and Massage Therapist. Her passion for practicing massage therapy was born from her encounters with the Maori Healers of New Zealand. She uses deep tissue massage and energy work to clear out pain and discomfort while promoting emotional balance. She spends her time teaching veterinary ultrasound workshops around the world, doing massage therapy, working at Rescuing Health. In her free time, Ana enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys.
